Liposuction

Liposuction is a surgical procedure used for removal of fat by aspiration from “critical” parts of the body (hips, buttocks, stomach, thighs…). Result of the procedure is body contouring and body shape.

Intervention can be performed in local anaesthesia. Through minimal cuts made by syringe the fat is suctioned by special tubes (cannulas).

The procedure lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours depending on areas from which the fat is removed and the volume that needs to be removed. The patient leaves the hospital the same day, and he/she needs to wear compressive garments for 2 weeks after the intervention.

It is important to know that liposuction is not a method for obesity treatment, but an option for body contouring. If you want to keep results visible for a longer period after the intervention, you should take care of yourself, live actively and develop healthy diet.

This procedure can be performed on all body parts with excess fat, and the result is better body appearance. The most often treated areas are:

  • Stomach
  • Buttocks
  • Thighs
  • Knees
  • Calves
  • Ankles
  • Waist
  • Hips
  • Back
  • Upper arm
  • Neck
  • Chin (double chin)
  • Cheeks
